Our in-depth video, blog, and essay content gives past figures and stories a modern voice for the benefit of those living today. Whether you’re an armchair historian or a Ph.D. History candidate you’re guaranteed to learn something new and enjoy every second of doing so!

By signing up, your favorite content creators will no longer fear the threat of censorship while showcasing the past, including its more uncomfortable, but important, elements. Your money goes straight into the creators’ pockets, enabling them to both produce more content on the website and their YouTube channels.

PLACING ORDERS

By placing an order or using our services, you are offering to purchase a product and/or service on and subject to the following terms and conditions.

In order to make a purchase from https://thearmchairhistorian.com, you must possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us. The armchair historian retains the right to refuse any request made by you and reserves the right to close you’re the armchair historian account at its sole discretion. When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of purchased item/service/product.

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between us for the purchase of the service/product/item will not be formed until your payment has been approved by us and we have debited your credit or debit card. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ORDERS CANNOT BE AMENDED ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN PLACED. 

Upon receiving your order, we carry out a standard pre-authorization check on your choice of payment to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. Your card or other method of payment will be debited once the order has been accepted.

FRAUDULENT TRANSACTIONS 
In the event of any claim that any transaction or purchase on you’re the armchair historian account has been without permission or any other fraudulent use of our services, we will block your account from being used on our website. Falsely making any such fraudulent claims can result in your account, details of your account such as name, card details, address being blacklisted which will affect your future transactions/purchases. Denying a purchase that you have made is also illegal and prosecutable.

As a condition of creating an account with the armchair historian, you consent to joining our mailing list and consent to us sending you administrative and awareness/promotional Emails. The email is to do two things:

1. Tell our customers how the website is coming along and inform them of when new content is released on the website.

2. Ask the customers to vote on potential new topics/content they will like to see.

TERMINATION AND CANCELLATION

We may terminate your transaction If we observe you have breached any terms of this agreement. Any default, delay or omission of any of the provisions of this Agreement by either Party will not be construed as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or other provisions. We are entitled to still pursue any omitted or failed payment by you at any time.

SEVERABILITY

In the event that any of the provisions of this Agreement are held to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, all other provisions will nevertheless continue to be valid and enforceable with the invalid or unenforceable parts severed from the remainder of this Agreement.

RESOLVING DISPUTES

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through mediation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, then the dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration conducted by an expert arbitrator from the America Arbitration Association (AAA) or as agreed upon by the parties.  

PREVIOUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any prior versions thereof, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail unless it is expressly stated otherwise.

THIRD PARTY RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any rights upon any third party. The agreement created by these Terms and Conditions is between you and the armchair historian.

LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions and the relationship between you and the armchair historian shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States of America.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, refund policy and any other agreement contained on the Site or agreed by the parties constitute the entire agreement between you and the armchair historian.
